A report earns its place when someone can make a decision from it.
Good tracking is necessary, but it is not the finish line. In the final part of our app analytics series, the focus shifts to reporting that people can understand and use.
Build around the decisions
- Choose a reporting platform that fits the task, whether GA4, Firebase or a BI tool such as Looker Studio.
- Make key measures easy to read and connect them to business questions.
- Track trends over time so teams can investigate change, not just review isolated totals.
What we did with Zapmap
Our work with the EV charging app included Looker Studio visualisation to connect the data with business priorities. This built on the goals and tracking work described in the first two articles.
The point is not to make dashboards decorative. It is to help product teams and stakeholders see what matters, ask better questions and decide where to investigate.
The original post did not report a numerical commercial uplift. The value described was a more usable reporting approach, supported by better measurement foundations.
