Jaguar’s 2024 rebrand generated substantial debate, but Sophus3 used online audience data to look at the measurable effect on interest in the brand.
Traffic to Jaguar’s UK website increased five-fold in the week of the “Copy Nothing” campaign. Interest rose again after the Type 00 concept was revealed during Miami Art Week. On the following day Jaguar accounted for 12.7% of the UK website audience across all automotive brands, close to the combined audience of Audi, BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz.
The initial spike did not disappear immediately. Visitor numbers remained at more than twice their pre-rebrand level during the following week.
The analysis illustrates the value of market-level behavioural data: it cannot by itself determine long-term commercial success, but it gives brands an objective view of how major product and communications events change consumer attention.
