The takeaway

Shortlisted for research. Built through a lasting partnership.

The Sophus3 team celebrated at the AOP Digital Publishing Awards after Auto Match was shortlisted. This was recognition of the partnership’s work—not an announcement of an award win.

At its core is matching methodology derived from eDataXchange, which Sophus3 has delivered to the automotive industry since 2003. It connects in-market buyers and registered streaming users with campaign exposure and subsequent behaviour.

From exposure to observable actions

More than ten car brands had participated over the preceding 12 months. The published campaign findings included:

  • 129% more website visits.
  • 133% more mid-funnel actions.
  • 50% higher likelihood to visit.
  • 38% increase in in-market behaviour.

These are reported campaign findings, not a universal performance promise or four interchangeable measures. Campaign-specific baselines and methods matter when interpreting them.

A partnership built by people

Our thanks to the ITV and Carwow teams, and to Sam Robson, Ryan White, Gerrit van Heerden, Ramanathan Sanjeevan and Steve Machin at Sophus3. This work depends on sustained collaboration as much as on the technology.
